- Founded in 2003 by
- German Castaño, a computer software engineer hired in Colombia by General Electric Health Care Division in 1999. Mr. Castaño is the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce chairman of the board of directors.
- Dr. Alex Jadad, Canada's top 40 under 40. Dr. Jadad is also the founder of the eHealth Innovation Center of the University of Toronto.

- Registered as a Canadian Corporation in the province of Ontario.
- Since its creation, SumaCorp has started to identify and to developed a bundle of services of interest for immigrants.
- SumaCorp already penetrated immigrant networks, identified immigrant organizations and leaders across Canada, and contacted and engaged them into SumaCorp plan to benefit immigrants.
- SumaCorp has an established membership base of 2,600 people and provided them with a debit card that also works as a points card.
- In 2005, SumaNews was founded. SumaNews delivers daily emails to a list of 13,000 subscribers.
- In 2005 and 2006, SumaCorp provided Money Transfer Services through the ATM world network.
- In 2007 SumaCorp started to offer Telecom services.
- In the same year, QuickInfo Links Corporation was founded.
- German Castano is currently the President and CEO of SumaCorp.
